How do I take part in Police Week?
Police Week, established in 1962 by President John F. Kennedy, was noted as a time to celebrate those who keep the peace and make the sacrifice to keep it. May 11-17, 2025 is the next official National Police Week and we invite you as a citizen, an organization, a classroom, a church, or a family to do something to honor Law Enforcement in Michigan.
If your circumstances don't allow you to take part until another time of the year, that is okay too. Police Week Michigan will be here after Police Week ends as a central spot for information to be shared, and resources to be identified. For Police Week your assignment is: Do SOMETHING to stand up, to speak up, and to show how much we appreciate what men and women do every day for our peace, safety, and wellbeing in Michigan. Law Enforcement need to feel our support, they need to hear more of the positive feedback from citizens vs. the complaints, and they need to see that Michigan citizens - overwhelmingly have their back! Please share your ideas and stories on our Facebook Page and inspire others! Email us with questions at info@policeweekmichigan.com |
